How does Figure Markets differ from other exchanges?

Figure Markets operates a hybrid exchange model. Through MPC technology, we offer MPC custodial accounts protected by decentralized custody. This allows Figure Markets to support any L1 networks’ assets, with representations of those assets (security entitlements) held in self-custody. These assets can then be traded off-chain, but settled on-chain. This delivers the ability for fast order placement and matching with the security of asset self-custody. The latter is important because anyone, including you, can always audit the quantity of L1 assets held in the MPC custodial accounts is always greater than the number of security entitlements in circulation.
