How to deposit USD

Eligibility for USD deposits

To deposit USD and trade on the Figure Markets exchange, you must be a resident of the United States, excluding Hawaii, New York, and U.S. territories.

Deposit Methods

Figure Markets offers two methods for depositing USD: ACH transfers and wire transfers. To use either method, you must first set up a Figure Pay account after creating your wallet and completing KYC verification.

Setting up a Figure Pay account

Figure Pay is a money movement engine that allows you to easily deposit funds onto the Figure Markets exchange. You won’t be charged any account fees, and your USD funds are securely held at our partner banks.

1. Log in to your Figure Markets account after completing the KYC process. Click on “Enable deposits” in the top right corner of the screen.

2. You will be redirected to the Figure Pay account set up page. Review and agree to the disclosures and Terms of Agreement. Click on the checkboxes to agree with the disclosures and Terms of Agreement by checking the boxes. Then, click on “Finish Application”.

3. Once you submit your application, you can link your accounts and begin depositing funds into your Figure Markets account.

Depositing USD via ACH

ACH transfers typically take up to 3 business days to process and generally don’t have any associated fees.

1. On the Figure Markets exchange, select “Deposit” at the top right-hand corner.

2. Choose "Deposit USD (fiat)"
3. In your Figure Pay account select "Deposit."
4. Select "Fund via ACH" and then "Add Bank."
5. Use Plaid to link to your bank account.
6. Select "Deposit" then choose the account and enter the desired deposit amount.

Depositing USD via Wire Transfer

Wire transfers can be processed on the same day, depending on bank cutoff times. There is usually a fee charged by your financial institution, and there is no transfer amount limit.

1. Review the write instructions provided on the screen, including the routing number, account number, and other necessary details for sending the wire transfer.

2. Initiate the wire transfer from your external bank account using the provided information.

Important Notes

• There is a daily deposit limit of $5,000 for ACH transfers. Wire transfers have no deposit limit.

• After depositing USD through Figure Pay, you need to transfer the funds from your Figure Pay balance to your Trading Balance within the Figure Markets exchange before using them to buy crypto.

• We currently don’t support direct debit or credit card purchases.
